The Male Celeb Body – Christian Bale

The Male Celeb Body – Christian BaleNot just anybody can be Batman. And it doesn’t just have to do with acting ability. This superhero favorite embodies strength, masculinity and dark sex appeal - not to mention you need a stellar body to fill up that suit! In the long list of actors since the first Batman, played by Michael Keaton, this British heartthrob has managed to not only meet the expectations of the public and those in Hollywood, he’s exceeded them. Of course to prepare for such a demanding role, the physical fitness part of Christian Bale’s life was anything but a cake walk.

In order for Christian Bale to truly become Batman, he had to make sure he looked the role. After all, even the debonair Bruce Wayne maintains a great body so for Christian, he had to look good both in and outside of the Batman suit. To meet the challenge Christian had to add a lot of muscle and develop an all natural six-pack for a washboard stomach.

Exercise-wise, Christian had to include a large dose of workouts to increase his stamina and agility. Bench presses and squats burn fat well after the workout is over. To build muscle, each exercise should be between 8-12 reps in 3-4 sets. This routine helps build as well as train the muscle. Additionally, these types of workouts also add muscle to more than one area of the body. For the washboard abs, core training with heavy weights were a must for Christian, with 8-12 reps in three sets. Regular crunches and those done on an exercise ball help to round out the ab workout. Because Christian needed an athletic and agile body that was capable of doing stunts and rigorous movements, it was important that he not just bulk up on muscle but was flexible as well. To keep the stamina intense, Christian didn’t spend time dedicated to cardio. Instead, he stuck to workouts that involved explosive movement.

Of course any good workout should be complemented with a proper diet. Christian Bale had to be very mindful of what he was putting inside his body as well as what he was doing to improve its outer appearance. To keep his body happy, his diet consisted of foods such as brown rice, oatmeal, yams, which are carbohydrates that are rich in fiber. Lean proteins are also an important addition to the diet plan. Lean steak, chicken, fish, beef, and turkey are examples of such foods. To keep from breaking his diet, Christian was able to turn to vegetables and fruits to help curb cravings.

Surprisingly, Christian Bale has openly admitted that he hates being stereotyped as a person who is obsessed over their body. As a result, he says he actually doesn’t like having such a great body! While the nature of celebrities will continue to be a mystery, at least their fitness secrets are public knowledge you can benefit from!
