Drugstore Brands vs. Surgeons’ Hands

Drugstore Brands vs. Surgeons’ HandsIn this day and age, youth is an obsession and many women are quick to find easy solutions in order to achieve a face that is vibrant, youthful, radiant, and - most importantly - free of the signs of aging. The most common solution is often plastic surgery but this does not always have to be the case. With the advancement in skincare technology and formulas, you can now choose from a variety of products that can be found in virtually any drugstore.

The debate between which method is better continues to be discussed but what can be said is that the option between choosing plastic surgery and purchasing drugstore brands has its pros and cons. The best way to figure out which one you should opt for is to do your research and evaluate all your resources.

Plastic surgery continues to be one of the most popular alternatives men and women choose in order to turn back the hands of time. Common procedures performed each year include, but are not limited to: rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and liposuction. While this may seem like the answer to your aging problems, there are some notable factors to be aware of when it comes to going under the knife. For one thing, having plastic surgery does not come cheap. The majority of such procedures costs in the upwards of thousands of dollars, which can quickly empty your wallet and savings. In many cases, insurance companies do not cover such costs, which mean you carry the entire cost. The recovery process is also another factor to consider. While rare, it isn’t uncommon to experience complications from surgery that can be fatal if not treated right away. Even though plastic surgery usually promises instant results, some may require more than one operation, meaning more money and more recovery times. If you are interested in undergoing plastic surgery, make sure to do your research, consult with a handful of qualified, licensed surgeons, and ask to see before and after pictures as well as references from past patients for each person you interview with.

On the flip side, drugstore brands are now becoming the place to purchase the latest and greatest skincare and anti-aging products that promise similar youthful results but without the need for a plastic surgeon. These days affordability is becoming important to consumers and the skincare industry has taken note by creating products and formulations of the highest quality for decent prices. Now you no longer have to break your bank account by investing in expensive department store brands. Many skincare brands make drugstore versions of their best selling items. From regular skincare items like moisturizers and cleansers to anti-aging products, drugstore brands now offer solutions to aging woes. Common drugstore skincare items include potent eye creams, anti-wrinkle serums, and even DIY microdermabrasion kits. Buying products to treat your aging and skincare issues is a much more convenient alternative but there are also cons to this alternative as well. Even drugstore brand items can be in the pricier range, while the cheaper items may or may not promise the results claimed on the package. Additionally, no matter how potent or highly advertised some products may be, they don’t always produce the exact, long lasting results you want.

Regardless of whether you decide to go with a plastic surgeon or your favorite drugstore brand products, it’s helpful to do your homework, read reviews, get references, and do what it takes to get all your questions answered.
