Gerard Butler had toiled for a long time in the movie business before finding smashing success in the hit film 300. Part of the film’s success was attributed to the ripped physiques of the actors, especially that of its star, Butler. In a recent interview he talked about getting his body in shape for movie roles, in particular his latest, Law Abiding Citizen.

Butler admits that preparation has become something of a chore. Whenever a film calls for him to show his body, Butler says, he immediately thinks , “…here`s another three months of being on a diet and getting that body back.” The Scottish actor who celebrates his 40^th birthday on November 13^th also said he enjoys baring his bum onscreen as he feels it’s his best asset.
