Former Chicago Cubs hitter Sammy Sosa has been in the news quite often over the last week or two after pictures surfaced showing him many shades lighter than usual. According to reports, Sosa puts it down to a new cosmetic cream he is using to make his skin softer. He explained that the harsh TV lights made him seem lighter than he actually was.

Sosa is quick to reject any comparisons to late pop superstar Michael Jackson. Former Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis was quoted online as saying, “He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin. Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white.” Sosa also said that he does not suffer from any type of skin disease.
