Will Probiotics Lead The Skincare Charge In ’09?

While many consumers are moving to natural and organic methods of beauty and skincare, science is still coming up with new ways to care for skin. Dr. Lisa Hynes, one of the best dermatologists in the US has used recent scientific developments to create SK1N Probiotic Systems` new skincare range.

 

Dr. Hynes and a group of chemists have demonstrated that probiotics and prebiotics can be useful in tackling many skin problems. “Probiotics are a shield against the daily effects of environmental stress our skin is exposed to, and we have developed a straightforward system which offers users measurable results for all skin types,” she was quoted as saying.

 

Probiotics refers to the use of microorganisms with possibly beneficial bacteria. In fact the World Health Organizaion defines probiotics as “Live microorganisms which when administered in adequate amounts confer a health benefit on the host.’” The concept has also been utilized in food products such as yogurt.
